We have enjoyed a number of home exchanges both for our place in San Francisco and our cabin up in Truckee at Donner Lake (near Lake Tahoe). We are huge fans of home exchanging. I think Europeans are more familiar with the idea than Americans; maybe because they have more vacation time & the cost of a family vacation can be prohibitive with hotel costs.
