What better way to open the new year than with David Sedaris reading from his forthcoming book, Dress Your Family in Corduroy & Denim?  I actually was standing next to him for some time prior to the show, waiting for How, and I just assumed he was some other poor shleb waiting for his date.  Not a very "big" presence!

Two of the staff for my department got pregnant within weeks of each other, and we sent them off for 6 months each with an informal shower.  How we'll function without Cara & Georgia for that long, we've no idea, but we'll give it a go!

How hosted a retreat up at the cabin for Altruit, the non-profit he runs.  Great fun with a bunch of great folks, all committed to improving the tracking of kids in foster care.

Adding to the list of "old rockers" How & I have seen (Springsteen, Stones, McCartney), we took in a hot David Bowie concert.  Pretty amazing dude!
