Wherein we finally decide we are middle-aged, purchase
Bermuda shorts and indulge in a cruise.
And boy was it fun. And cheap! We departed from LA, spent
3 days at sea, then hopped up the Mexican coast from Puerto
Vallarta, to Mazatlan, to Cabo San Lucas in 3 days, then steamed back to
LA for a week at sea total. The real experience is being on the boat, and
consuming as much food as possible, but we supplemented that with a
variety of activities at each port. Let's see: PV was fruity drinks in
pineapples on a sunny beach; Mazatlan was horse-back riding through
a million-tree coconut plantation (for all those fruity drinks); and Cabo was snorkeling & feeding bananas to the glorious tropical fish.
